- Exit the runner and save a local observation if useful.

- Choose a neutral picture mode
- Let the display warm up
What to look for
- Smooth separation between saturation steps
- Neutral gray without obvious tint
- Consistent color across the panel
Important: Without a colorimeter this is not a color accuracy measurement and cannot calculate Delta E.
Frequently asked questions
Can I test color accuracy online?
You can perform a useful visual check, but objective accuracy requires a colorimeter or spectrophotometer.
Why do two monitors look different?
Panel type, gamut, white point, brightness, calibration, ICC profiles, and viewing angle can all change appearance.
What should neutral gray look like?
It should not have an obvious red, green, blue, yellow, or magenta cast under neutral room lighting.
